  2. Add salt, vegetable oil, and 2 cups of flour to the mixing bowl. Mix until the dough starts to come together.
  3. Add the remaining 2 cups of flour and mix until the dough forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  7. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle shape on a floured surface.
  8. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into breadstick-sized strips.

  10. Bake the breadsticks in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  11. While the breadsticks are baking, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  12. Add garlic powder and salt to the melted butter and stir well.
  13. Remove the breadsticks from the oven and brush them with the garlic butter mixture.
  14. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top of the breadsticks.
