Pizza, Storms, and Cali’s Saucy Surprise!

Ahoy, dear crust connoisseurs! It seems the universe looked at our sun-kissed Californian shores and said, “You know what they need? Some tropical seasoning!” Enter Hurricane Hilary, coming in hotter than a pepperoni slice left in the sun. This is the first time we’re seeing such a “saucy” occurrence since September 25, 1939. Perhaps Mother Nature has a taste for drama (or pizza, can’t be sure).

Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Hurricane in SoCal? That’s as rare as pineapple on an Italian pizza!” And you’re right. But much like that polarizing pineapple, sometimes unexpected combinations can bring about the most delightful results. Not saying I endorse pineapple on pizza… or do I?

As this hurricane-to-be-turned-tropical-storm threatens to make our weekend all wet, here’s the game plan: Order the most tropical pizza you can think of. I’m talking pineapple, ham, maybe even some jalapeños for that extra stormy kick. Call it the “Hurricane Hilary Special.” Let’s embrace the storm with a pizza that’s equally unexpected!

But hey, let’s get serious for a moment. While we’re making light of the situation, remember to stay safe. Tie down those patio umbrellas, bring in any flying pizza boxes (those things can really soar), and perhaps most crucially, protect your pizza stash.

To our dear delivery heroes, we salute you. Braving the winds to ensure our beloved pies reach our doors – you’re the real MVPs. We recommend tipping them generously, and perhaps even throwing in an extra slice for their courage.

To everyone else, stay dry, munch on, and remember: Even if the skies are stormy, a good pizza can always bring a slice of sunshine.

Until next time, keep those toppings wild and your crusts crispy! Ciao
